Taylor Swift and the stars attend Selena Gomez’s wedding
Singer Taylor Swift, actors Paul Rudd and Steve Martin were present at Selena Gomez’s wedding venue, a day before the event.
According to Daily Mail, the wedding of singer Selena Gomez and producer Benny Blanco took place at the private plantation Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara on September 27 (local time). The couple invited about 170 people, prepared accommodation for guests at the El Encanto resort and a car to take them to the main event.
A day before the wedding, everyone attended a rehearsal dinner at a country-style villa at the foot of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
On the afternoon of September 26, Taylor Swift, 35, arrived at the local airport and was shielded by a group of assistants with umbrellas when getting off the plane. A staff member helped her carry a box of items believed to be a wedding gift for Selena. After that, the singer traveled to the meeting place by car. The two artists have been close friends for 17 years, one of the most famous friendships in Hollywood. When Selena announced her engagement on Instagram, Taylor said she would be her bridesmaid.
On the same day, Selena Gomez’s co-stars in Only Murders in the Building – Steve Martin, 80, and Martin Short, 75 – appeared on the porch of the hotel in Santa Barbara. Actor Paul Rudd, 56, was also present, chatting with other guests before arriving at the dinner party. Martin and Short starred with Selena throughout all five seasons of the show, while Rudd was a guest in seasons three and four.
According to some news sites, Paris Hilton was also one of the stars who came to celebrate with Selena. In addition, Entertainment Tonight reported that Selena invited “a group of close girlfriends who have been by her side for many years” to be her bridesmaids. They could be the ones attending the singer’s bachelorette party in late August, including Racquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, Courtney Lopez, Connar Franklin Carpenter and cousin Priscilla DeLeon.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are currently keeping information about the wedding day under wraps. The two are said to have spent about $300,000 on security. Photos from the Daily Mail show that the event organizers have set up a series of tents around the wedding venue, with flowers placed around the venue.
